Cúchulainn is an honest worker who is easily motivated and quickly catches on to new commands. He loves working and is the type of dog to hinge on my needs. Cúchulainn enjoys people but does not fawn over them and was rather reactive as a young dog.

Cúchulainn [coo-hullan] is named for the proud Irish hero known for his terrifying battle-rage and his flaming red hair. To date, he was the puppy who was without name the longest while I got to know him - and he has certainly earned his. Cúchulainn is enthusiastic, bold, and brave. He gives me 110% of himself, but took the longest to mature and to train out of all of my Kishu. His behavior and temperament make him a somewhat difficult pet, but he is worth every single ounce of sweat.
His work ethic and conformation are without equal among my dogs, except for those he has produced, and his red coat color is remarkable among Kishu. The line Cúchulainn's paternal grandmother comes from is known for being more vocal, and Cúchulainn certainly inherited that in spades: he has many opinions and loves to share them. Due to his sharp and boisterous personality, Cúchulainn may be a rare sire in my litters and must be intelligently paired with a partner who will help curb some of his intensity, but he is a good companion to me and shows and sports very well.
Cúchulainn is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to sports, but has performed very well in conformation and weight-pull.
