I've really become terrible at updating this news log, but Nami's litter was born on July 9th, late at night, and we welcomed 3 males and 1 female. I ended up with 1 sesame boy, 1 red boy, and 1 white boy, with a sesame female to end the batch. All pups have homes. They are nearly 4 weeks old. The white boy will stay in a local pet home, intact, to evaluate later as a potential stud. Still undecided on the other two boys, but I'm excited to see them develop, too. The little red boy is a carbon copy of his mom's personality. Kissy-to-the-core. Bubba, "Daikokuten go" (formerly known as "Coyote" under his puppy name) from Fionna's litter is slated to leave on Friday, the 11th, for his new home in Finland. He is our trade for a new import from a mated litter over there, so if everything works out we'll be looking at a new boy at our kennel soon enough, too. Bubba has been growing up pretty nicely, and has really developed well. He's got a great expression, compared to his mom, and has great substance. I really like him. He's a sweet little dog. Not a person comes across him that doesn't want to take him home. I'm also expecting a female Japanese import come September, so it'll be a year of new and exciting things coming up.
Speaking of new and exciting things, AKC paperwork is finally processing after a long time waiting. I'll have to make a post about the AKC all of its own.
